Camaro Family: New in 2019

The word refreshing comes to mind when I hear people discussing the Camaro Family of cars. Chevrolet is bringing updates to the 2019 Camaro’s technology, styling and performance.  Chevy is producing a new variation of the Camaro, the Turbo 1LE.  There’s more dexterity due to the larger tires and upgrades made to the suspension. However Chevy has more than the 1LE coming up in 2019. There’s a few new surprises for Camaro Enthusiasts.

The Details

The 2019 Camaro will continue to boast the same shape. You’ll notice a modified appearance in the front and the rear. Some changes improve performance and some improve the look. All of the 2019 models receive new LED taillights,  and rear bumpers. The LT and LS models have a red finish while the RS, SS, and ZL1 models provide a smoky appearance.

Trim levels become more distinctive with modifications made to the nose providing a unique look to the grill and front end. Chevy also creates a reshaped hood and duel-element LED headlights. The SS gets a flowtie grill emblem allowing air to pass through it as well as a heat extractor located on the hood. The RS package provides 20 inch wheels, updates to the rear diffuser, and a unique black grille. However there’s one mechanical change. Chevy is offering a custom launch control, and a ten speed auto transmission with paddle shifters on all SS models. This ten speed differs from the one found in the ZL1.

The Interior

Chevrolet plans to offer two screen sizes, your standard 7″ touch screen or an 8″ unit with a new multimedia system called Chevrolet infotainment. The Camaro offers navigation also.

You’ll notice some safety changes to the 2SS and the ZL1 models as well. They feature a rear camera mirror mounted on the rear of the vehicle. This provides a wider display in the rear view mirror. The standard backup camera also received improvements with a new high definition camera. Chevy made forward collision alert an available option as well.

The Camaro isn’t the only car receiving a makeover this year. Other members of the Camaro family require updating as well. The Cruze, Malibu and the Spark are receving s0me attention. It’s unknown when they’ll arrive.
