Classic Car PhotographyThe Ford Company used the Nameplate Crown Victoria first for the 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria (Crown Vic). The original sale price was $2,484.00. However there’s only 33,165 in existence.

This car has a classic roof line, a stainless steel band crowning the roof and  finally a panoramic windsheild.  The ’55 Crown Vic is the first vehicle to have factory installed air conditioning and seat belts as a dealer extra for the consumer. Lastly some other optional features were the Fordomatic automatic transmission and power steering.
